Cathrine was born in Norway, but moved to Scotland to study ceramics at Duncan of Jordanstone College of Art and Design in Dundee in 1996. She graduated with a BDes(Hons) in ceramics in 1999. She makes both decorative and functional porcelain pieces, mainly inspired by the sea and marine life forms. Her work is hand thrown, slip cast and hand built

Follow the B955 (running up the west side of Kirriemuir), turn left through the main gates by the gate house at the junction of Cortachy Road and Kinnordy Road. The studio is ¾ mile up the drive at the back of Kinnordy House, accessed through the courtyard.
